The Citizens Panel on Edmonton’s Energy and Climate Challenges was organised by Alberta Climate Dialogue (ABCD) and the Centre for Public Involvement (CPI) and included 60 residents who met for 3 months using deliberative techniques to offer their advice and feedback on a discussion paper on Edmonton’s Energy Transition.
They gained information on climate change and resilience from a focused Citizen’s Handbook as well as other resource materials and invited experts.
A video of the process can be found here as well as their summary discussion report and final report.
