A group of selected invitees gathered in Salzburg, Austria for a synthesis workshop on the Manifesto for Democracy and Sustainability, co-organized by Salzburg Global Seminar. Participants analysed the responses to the consultation, and produced recommendations to help FDSD draft the final manifesto.

The Foundation for Democracy and Sustainable Development focused on making the connections between democratic governance and sustainable development. It transferred its work to the School for International Futures in 2025.
