FDSD is delighted to announce the appointment of two new trustees: Peter Davies and Sándor Fülöp. Both are well known for their outstanding contributions to sustainability and democratic reform.
As Welsh Commissioner for Sustainable Futures, Peter was a key figure in the creation of the innovative Well-Being of Future Generations (Wales) Act. Amongst other commitments, he is Chair of the Wales Council of Voluntary Action.
Sándor was the first Parliamentary Commissioner for Future Generations in Hungary and has been a member of the compliance committee of the Aarhus Convention, the first international convention on access to information, access to decision-making and access to justice in environmental matters.
In response to the appointments, Graham Smith, Chair of FDSD, stated “We are honoured that Peter and Sándor accepted our invitation to join the Board. The work of FDSD is ever more vital and they bring a wealth of experience, insight and energy to taking forward our agenda. This is an exciting development for the Foundation.”
